Train ride from Bohinjska Bistrica to Most na Soči.
The entire stage from Most na Soči runs along the walking path to Tolmin.
Tolmin is an old town with a castle on the picturesque Kozlov rob above the town. The town itself has been known since WWI as the start point of the famous Isonzo Front. After eleven bloody Italian offensives, the Austrian and German military forces broke through the front in the twelfth Isonzo battle and pushed the Italian army back to the Piave River.
Today, Tolmin is the administrative centre of the valley and a starting point for various activities for visitors.

DAY 3 HIKE FROM TOLMIN TO KOBARID
The trail starts at the paragliding landing site. Continue along the banks of the Soča River through the sunny villages of Gabrje and Volarje. In Selišče, we cross the small Volarja River that springs below Krn, which hides a range of most beautiful and highest Slovenian waterfalls. Between Kamno and the Church of St Lawrence we walk in the fairy forests and along the paths that run among the ancient, moss-covered walls. The church was the last home of Simon Gregorčič, one of the most famous Slovenian poets. We reach Kobarid through Ladra, the last village along the trail. Kobarid played an important part in WWI. The Battle of Kobarid resulted in the breakthrough of the Austrian and German Army. Kobarid Museum displays exhibits on the events that occurred during World War I on the Soška fronta – Isonzo Front.
Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Distance: 17km, 4hours
DAY 4 HIKE FROM KOBARID TO BOVEC
The stage between Kobarid and Bovec takes us from the soft and gentle atmosphere of the Primorska side back to the harsh conditions of the mountainous world. The valley changes dramatically right after Kobarid, the wide riverbed and riverside planes merge together below the steep slopes of Polovnik on one side and Stol on the other side. Soča, softly running across gravel pits in its lower part, foams in wild rapids and deep pools.
Above Boka, the valley extends to a wide basin and we can enjoy in the views of the mighty peaks: Kanin, Rombon, Loške stene, Svinjak and Triglav at the end of the valley. The side road takes us through the Čezsoča village to Bovec. Bovec is the tourist heart of the valley and the strongest Slovenian centre of all possible outdoor activities in nature.
